Our Mission is to support our National, State and Local Parks through the beauty of art and photography. It is designed to celebrate representational artists, enhance public awareness of the Parks and to contribute to programs benefiting the Park System as well as the public in general.
In addition to supporting our Parks, we strive to actively support and promote artists and the visual arts through education, networking and advocacy. We also strive to provide inexpensive and “artist-friendly” venues for emerging and experienced artists alike to showcase and share their talents through their personal and unique contributions to our system of parks.
Seventy-five percent of each Entry Fee is donated to the National Parks Conservation Association, a 501(c)3 corporation that contributes almost $20 million annually to advocate and lobby for our National Parks. The balance of our funds are used for awards, donations to specific Parks as depicted in winning artwork and to pay general operating expenses in support of our Mission.
